A karaoke bar employee has confessed to a murder occurring at Lil’ Kim’s birthday party two years ago in Times Square.
Mahalo.com reports that police recently arrested Syed Rahman, an employee of the Spotlight Live nightclub, for the murder of 24-year-old Ingrid Rivera. Her body was found near the utility room on the New York bar’s rooftop in 2008.
Investigators believe that Ingrid was approached by Syed while attending a party held for rapper Lil’ Kim, according to HipHopWired.com. Syed was said to have made passes towards Ingrid, eventually beating her to death with a metal pipe after his advances were denied.
Syed, who confessed murder to avoid a lengthy trial, is facing 20 years to life in prison for the murder of the Queens resident.
Information on whether Lil’ Kim was at the party during the altercation has not been released.
