Grammy-nominated rapper Drake is ready to get back on the road for an eco-friendly tour.
Drake has announced that he’s heading out for the Away From Home Tour starting this spring. It will be his first time headlining a tour in North America, and he’ll be introducing rapper-singer-songwriter K-OS, another Canadian talent, to U.S. audiences.
A few dates for the concert will run in conjunction with the Campus Consciousness tour, which aims to entertain college students while teaching them about going green. In keeping with that mission, Drake is planning to run his tour bus on biodiesel. He’ll also be using recyclable and biodegradable products backstage and on the bus.
The Away From Home Tour kicks off April 5 at Eastern Illinois University, but there will also be stops at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (April 24) and the Bamboozle Festival (May 1).
