Slim from 112 is at it again, this time putting a sultry and sentimental spin on Christmas music with “This Christmas.” It’s a special track you won’t find on Slim’s new solo album, Love’s Crazy, but Slim told S2S that it fits the album’s mood:
This Christmas – Slim We’re sure it will inspire lots of cozy moments by the fire, or on the couch, this holiday season and for many more to come.
We caught up with Slim just as he got off the plane in Atlanta. He’s been keeping busy doing Jingle Jam concerts all over the country and performing with the likes of Kanye West and T.I. “I’ll be working slap up to Christmas Day,” Slim told S2S.
No matter how busy he is, though, Slim said he will always find time to go chop down a Christmas tree with his boys. It’s a Christmas tradition for the admittedly untraditional crooner. “It’s a lot of fun, and I try my best to stay with that tradition right there, even though I’m one of the most non-traditional people of life,” he said. “I mean, it’s definitely for the kids, and I want something they can remember, like, ‘Every year, me and my dad…’ You know?”
He’s only releasing a single this time, but Slim told S2S he’s been wanting to do a Christmas album for a while. He said, depending on the feedback from “This Christmas,” he might do a whole Christmas album next year.
