In case you’re not much of a guitar hero and don’t really want to be part of a rock band, you could always try your hand at becoming the ultimate DJ.
According to MTV News, “Scratch: The Ultimate DJ,” developed by 7 Studios, is the streets’ answer to its popular rock video game contemporaries. In the game, you can customize your own DJ to keep the wheels of steel spinning.
The set list includes “Flashing Lights” by Kanye West, “Don’t Swear the Technique” by Eric B. and Rakim, and an as-yet unnamed track by Run-DMC.
More titles will be announced in the months to come, but with music producer Quincy Jones III on this project, you know hip-hop heads everywhere will be in for a great mix.
“I can’t stress enough the importance of having a credible playlist in a music game such as Scratch,” he said. “The artists and songs that were announced today definitely sets the stage for Scratch and lets gamers and hip hop fans know that we are serious about making a game just for them.”
“Scratch: The Ultimate DJ,” featuring 60 songs in all, will hit stores this summer.
