The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha will have to share the bragging rights for winning the Sprite Step Off Challenge with the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Event organizers have announced that due to a scoring discrepancy, ZTA will have to share first place with AKA.  Officials found the miscalculation during a post-competition review.

According to officials, ZTA won by an “extremely narrow margin” over AKA, who came in 2nd place. “We believe that the appropriate course of action is to name both Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Tau Chapter, and Zeta Tau Alpha, Epsilon Chapter, co-first place winners of the Sprite Step Off,” organizers wrote in a statement.

Not only will AKA be sharing first-place status, but their prize money will also be increased to $100,000 to match ZTA’s winnings.
