DMX is back in the doghouse for breaking the terms of his probation.
According to KNXV, the rapper was arrested Tuesday and charged with five counts of probation violation in his most recent drug case.
"He admitted to using cocaine, so he’s back in our jail," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said. "I think it’s about time to give him hard time. We do have a great drug prevention program in the jail, so if he stays in our jail system I will consider (letting) him go through our program.”
DMX has been released and readmitted to the Arizona correctional facilities several times over the last few years. Most recently he was jailed on charges of drug possession, animal cruelty and felony theft. And last June he was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
While DMX has been caught up in a revolving door with the state’s legal system, his wife Tashera has been holding it down at home. Now she’s ready to tell her story with a new tell-all titled Strength of a Woman.
“Mrs. Simmons will be talking about her experience with her family and trying to hold them together through the DMX journey,” her rep said in a statement. “Her story is a stellar, heart wrecking, powerful, firsthand account of survival and family strength in a chaotic life and the fame that came with that life.”
There’s no word on when the book will be released, but it’s sure to be packed with lots of interesting stories.
