Paula Abdul may not be returning to the world of prime-time talent searches as soon as we thought.
Paula’s deal with ABC to host the reincarnation of “Star Search” has fallen through. A source close to the negotiations told E! News that the contract was ready to be signed, but that talks just broke down at the last minute.
ABC may still be moving forward with the show, but it’s certain that the former “American Idol” judge won’t be starring in it.
Reportedly, all parties involved in the deal were ready to sign a contract, but an agreement was not reached by a predetermined deadline. There’s no word on what held up negotiations.
