Mariah Carey’s plans to release a remixed version of Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel have been scrapped.
Mariah’s management told Mariah Daily Journal yesterday that Angel’s Advocate, which would have dropped next Tuesday, has been shelved at this time. While her camp won’t be putting out an album, there are still plans to release remixed singles.
Right now, “Up Out My Face” (featuring Nicki Minaj) and the Ne-Yo-backed “Angels Cry” are both available on iTunes. There’s no word on what other tracks will be coming out or how they’ll be released.
It’s onto the next for Mariah’s camp, which already has its sights on another prospective project this year.
"We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album,” a rep for the singer told Mariah Daily. “The decision hasn’t been totally made yet. It’s a creative process that cannot be rushed."
