Three soulful sirens are coming to a stage near you as Solange Knowles, Estelle and Suai hit the road for national tour.
Solange Knowles is headlining the tour to promote her sophomore album, Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams.
According to SingersRoom.com, “American Boy” singer Estelle will be joining Solange for most of the tour dates, including a March 5 show at Mezzanine in San Francisco. Newcomer Suai is also tagging along for a few dates (March 5 and March 11).
The tour kicks off on February 22 in Baltimore at Rams Head Live and ends on March 21 in Austin, Texas, at Buffalo Billiards.
Tickets for the tour are on sale at Ticketmaster and LiveNation. Be sure to check each site, as the list of dates don’t exactly match up.
News of the tour may have been overshadowed by some embarrassing moments Solange had earlier this week.
On Monday night, Solange suffered a serious wardrobe malfunction at Fashion Week. She’d stepped out to see the Toni Maticevski Fall 2009 show wearing a black dress and sheer top.
According to JustJared.buzznet.com, Solange was exposed when her dressed slipped down too far, putting her left nipple out on display.
Tuesday was no better for the “I Decided” singer. She had a little run-in with a syrup bottle. Although it wasn’t the illegal, chopped-and-screwed kind, it did land her on the floor of an airport and eventually in a hospital for dehydration.
According to Sol-Angel’s Twitter blog, she drank a bit too much NyQuil sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. on February 17. Her Twitter status was, "never taking nyquil again. I feel so wierd."
What happened next is unknown to anyone, including Solange, who confirmed that she passed out sometime between tweeting, "I’m closer to Julez! I’m," and typing "Woaah……How’d I end up in the hosptal?" about an hour later, around 5 a.m.
Solange didn’t want her fans to worry, so she kept up a steady stream of updates (totaling 12 messages) during the two hours that she was in the hospital. She let all 10,000 followers know when Mama Tina came to visit and that she was pretty embarrassed about the whole episode.
