Atlanta rapper Diamond has inked a deal with Battery Records and she’s getting ready to drop a solo single.
Anyone tuned into hip-hop knows that Diamond, who split from Crime Mob about three years ago, has been working extra hard lately. The lady lyricist has been featured on a number of tracks, including remixes for Ludacris’ “My Chick Bad” and Young Money’s “Bedrock.”
Now, AllHipHop.com reports, Diamond is prepping a single produced by Recka on the Beat called “Lotta Money.” The song will be the lead track from her as yet untitled solo album.
Diamond can’t wait to hit the studio and get some more projects under her belt now that she’s her own woman. “I can be more of an individual, say what I want to say,” she told AHH. “I also have to be much more responsible and make sure my business is taken care of.”
“We welcome Diamond to the Battery family,” Battery’s CEO Neil Levine added. “Her ability to constantly evolve makes her an exciting and remarkable artist that has proven that she can shine as a solo artist.”
