Gabrielle Union is joining the force in a prospective spin-off for Lifetime’s “Army Wives.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lifetime is pushing for an off-shoot of its hit drama, which will be set in Atlanta. The show will star Brigid Barannagh as Pamela Moran, who goes back to work as a police detective. Gabby is set to play her partner, Detective Gina Holt, which is a pretty central role on the show.
The as-yet untitled series will be introduced as a pilot later this season on “Army Wives.” It will actually be a special episode meant to set up a possible series in the future—kind of like what “Girlfriends” did for “The Game.”
