    McDonald’s is showing lots of love to people making moves in the Black community.
     
    On July 2, McDonald’s 7th Annual 365Black Awards ceremony will take place in New Orleans. Radio personality Tom Joyner and "The View" host Sherri Shepherd will host.
     
    This year’s honorees are Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Lt. Gen. Russel Honore, Rita Mack, and philanthropists Rodney and Holly Robinson Peete, just to name a few.
     
    McDonald will also celebrate seven years of sponsoring the ESSENCE Music Festival with an event in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, from 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., July 2-4.
     
    If you plan on attending this event, you can look forward to a variety of entertainment. You’ll be able to sip on free samples of McCafe’s new frappes and smoothies whille enjoying live musical performances by Keith Sweat, Bell Biv DeVoe and Ginuwine. And if you are interested in learning some new dance moves, celebrity choreographer Darrin Dewitt Henson will be there to give you a few pointers.
