After two weeks in hiding, Rihanna has finally been spotted in public and she seems to be healing nicely from her injuries.
Photographers caught a glimpse of Rihanna on Thursday (the same night TMZ released a photo of her battered face) in Los Angeles heading to an airport.
The next day, the “Umbrella” singer also released a statement of thanks to her fans.
"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," Rihanna’s rep said in a statement Friday. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
It’s the first statement Rihanna has made since her alleged fight with boyfriend Chris Brown.
Friday was also Rihanna’s 21st birthday and People.com reports that her friends and family in the Barbados marked the occasion by taking out an ad in the paper stating "amidst all the negativity about Ri Ri. God will continue to bless her."
