Alicia Keys is looking to be the captain of her own fate, so she cut her longtime manager from the crew.
The singer’s camp released a statement Friday, announcing that Alicia has parted ways with Jeff Robinson.
The statement read, "This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes.”
Alicia’s AK Worldwide, however, will be handling touring licensing and development for the “Unthinkable” artist.
According to the statement it was an “amicable’”split that has left room for Jeff to focus on producing material with Alicia through J Records.
