Jazmine Sullivan will be singing on the big screen in April.
Billboard.com reports that the “Lions, Tigers & Bears” singer will be flying to Prague in April to begin filming for “Red Tails.” The movie, directed by Anthony Hemingway, will be about the Tuskegee Airmen and also stars Ne-Yo.
"I play a singer who entertains soldiers," Jazmine told Billboard. "I’m really just entertainment for them, but I kind of get a little relationship going with one of them. So that’s very exciting.”
Although appearing on the big screen may be something new for Jazmine, she’s no stranger to the stage. "I used to act when I was younger, in little plays," said Jazmine. "It never was really a passion of mine. It’s just something I did and I could do. Anything where I can be creative, I like to do."
Jazmine could also be coming to the small screen as she has a TV project in the works. Unfortunately, she couldn’t offer up any details about it.
With all this talk about acting you may be wondering about her next album. Right now, Jazmine says another album is up in the air – she hasn’t even discussed it with her label, Atlantic Records, yet. "They aren’t pressuring me yet. I think we all are trying to get (Fearless) heard worldwide. But I am thinking of songs these days,” the singer told Billboard. Jazmine had admittedly taken a break from writing for a bit.
And Jazmine isn’t sure whether she’ll release a fourth single from Fearless.
