This beats the hell out of taking the title on “Dancing With the Stars”! The former “Clean House” host has gotten engaged to her boyfriend Jay Tucker.
Niecy told S2S that Jay popped the question on September 4, exactly one year after they met. She couldn’t really give us too many details on exactly what he said when he proposed because she blacked out.
“When I came back to myself, I had the ring on my finger. Then I asked him to tell me everything he said and everything I said,” Niecy recalled with a laugh. “I cried so much, my eyelashes fell off.”
The next day the happy couple held a barbecue for Labor Day, and told guests that the cookout was really an engagement party. Niecy’s famous friends such Sheryl Lee Ralph and Louis van Amstel were on hand to congratulate the comedian and her man.
According to Niecy’s website, she and Jay will jump the broom next May, which gives them about eight months to plan their wedding. Best wishes, Miss Niecy!
