The hardest working woman in daytime TV is sending her fans on a fabulous vacation.
Who cares about a car?! On the season premiere of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” the talk-show diva decided to gift all 300 people in the audience, comprised of her “ultimate fans,” with a trip down under.
“This is really my last chance to do something really big,” Oprah teased, tossing out ideas for excursions to Philadelphia and New York. “So I started to think about where would I most want to go. Maybe I should take all of you with me to the other side of the world. We’re going to Australia!”
The TV host made the announcement as a replica of a Qantas jet, piloted by John Travolta, rolled its way onto the set. The lucky “Oprah” fanatics will be treated to an eight-day, seven-night trip to Australia, where O will tape at least two shows.
“[John and I] have been plotting, planning this trip of a lifetime for almost a year with everyone,” Oprah admitted. According to The Hollywood Reporter, that “everyone” might include the Australian government, which is chipping in for the getaway. Oprah and John also had a little help setting up accommodations from TourismAustralia.com.
