Mel B., aka Scary Spice, has been slapped with a lawsuit for backing out on a deal. BMEDIA is suing the former Spice Girl, her husband Stephen Belafonte and their business partners. The fault? Fraud and breach of contract.
BMEDIA claims that in 2008 Mel B and associates agreed to produce projects in exchange for $500,000. Mel B promised to set up concerts, producers and an album. Although Mel got her money, none of these projects have come to fruition and BMEDIA is not having that.
Instead of delivering on her promise, Mel B. recently performed in Peep Show at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas strip. She also released an exercise video titled Totally Fit: Mel B.
In the lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court, BMEDIA is asking for the original $500,000 back plus interest as well as 12% of the cut it was supposed to receive in the deal.
