We missed Melky Jean’s beautiful wedding ceremony to her hubby Supreme, but she told us all about it and sent photos. The winter wedding was held next to a waterfall at a beautiful resort in Miami.
The only problem was that it was 85 degrees, Melky said, “So we had our decorator, Mev Productions, white-out the grand lawn next to the pool.” Then it looked like winter and matched the all-white wedding theme. The couple’s 230 guests enjoyed classical music provided by Bob Marley’s first cousin Jimmy Marley on the piano.

But Melky said that by the end of the night, her wedding reception had turned into a Caribbean-style Carnival. At one point, her brother Wyclef picked up the groom and carried him on his shoulder!
“Everyone said they had never attended a wedding like ours,” Melky told us. Wyclef performed, then he surprised Melky and Supreme with their favorite artist, dancehall star Mavado (“So Special”). The performance was ’Clef’s wedding present to them.
Melky had her wedding gown custom made by Jane Wilson-Marquis, whose gowns have appeared in Hollywood films such as Kate & Leopold. Melky is excited about this designer because Jane is working with an organization that Melky supports, the Carma Foundation, to start making dresses in Haiti.
Congrats to Melky and Supreme!
