Baby told MTV News that jail isn’t stopping Lil Wayne from putting out another studio project. Weezy is slated to officially release his latest album, I Am Not a Human Being, on October 12. Ten select songs are currently available online; the full album version contains 13 songs.
Baby announced the news today, which happens to be Wayne’s 28th birthday, as he lamented the rapper’s absence.
“It ain’t kicked in," said Baby. "My family, I like to do things for him for his birthday, you hear me? This the first time we not gonna get a chance to do that."
Wayne’s family will be popping bottles for him, in celebration of his birthday and new album. The rapper will be released from Riker’s Island on November 4.
“We all excited he’s about to come home" Baby said. "He’s happy. He wanna get out that place. That ain’t no place for him to be. Everybody is energized that he’s coming home."
