Attention, rumor mill: Ashanti said she and Nelly aren’t an item.
If you ask us, Nelly and Ashanti looked awfully cozy at T.I. and Tiny’s wedding back in July. That prompted many to say that the on-again-off-again twosome was back on.
But, according to Ashanti, a couple can’t be back on if they were never together.
“Me and Nelly are good friends. I never said I was his girl,” she told BET.com. “I never quote, unquote, ‘claimed him,’ I never said we were an item and neither has he, so there you have it. We’re good friends. The whole, ‘oh he’s denying and she’s denying,’ no claiming. Come on, son!”
We’ve never seen Ashanti break nasty like she did in the video below, but she seems very adamant that she and Nelly were never an item
