Beyoncé is getting ready to hit the beauty counter with a remix of her Heat perfume.
According to WWD.com, the “Ego” diva will release a lighter, everyday version of her flagship scent called Heat Rush. Reportedly, it’s slated for a February 2011 release.
“This is a young, fresh, less-serious scent,” said Coty Marketing Director Marsha Brooks, who acknowledged that Bey’s appeal is strong among customers between the ages of 18 and 24. “But we expect it to be bought by both younger and older women.”
With more than $3 million in sales from Heat, the company is banking on Beyoncé’s star power to continue pushing perfume.
“It is our intent to continue building this brand. We see Beyoncé as a pillar of our fragrance business,” said Coty Senior VP Steve Mormoris.
