NBC has officially pulled the plug on its sexy Black spy drama, Undercovers.

Well, Boris Kodjoe, you gave it your best shot, but all that campaigning for ratings was for naught.

E! News reports that NBC cancelled “Undercovers” after only seven episodes. More specifically, the network has opted not to pick up the final nine episodes of the season.

Boris, who stars on the show as Steven Bloom, confirmed that news via Twitter that the show has indeed been wiped from NBC’s lineup.

“I’m sad and disappointed. I wish they’d given us a chance to find our place. I love the show and I love you all for your support,” he tweeted this morning. “Now I gotta find a job. Let me know if you hear of any openings.”

“Undercovers” leading lady Gugu Mbatha-Raw has yet to comment on the situation.

Thankfully, “Undercovers” fans won’t have to suffer the trauma of immediate withdrawal.  New episodes of the show will air November 10, November 17 and December 1.
