Fantasia tried to strike a deal with her ex-man’s estranged wife, but it didn’t go like she thought it would.
According to RadarOnline.com, Fannie met with Paula Cook earlier this month to settle an impending court case. Paula filed suit against the singer this summer for interfering in her marriage.
“Fantasia and Paula were in mediation for nearly 12 hours on November 1,” said a source close the negotiations.
Reportedly, Fantasia was ready to pay Paula $100,000, but things went left while discussing one crucial matter.
“They didn’t settle because Fantasia refuses to acknowledge that she was aware of Paula’s marriage to Antwaun when she started dating him, and Paula is adamant that she knew,” the insider said.
Speaking of her marriage, Paula has filed for divorce from Antwaun, and it looks like she’ll move ahead with her case against Fantasia.
“Paula plans on going all the way and is going to sue Fantasia for alienation of affection,” another source said.
Since the ladies couldn’t reach an agreement earlier this month, the source said that Fantasia and Paula will meet again in a North Carolina court on Monday.
