Fantasia wants privacy in court

A judge has denied Fantasia Barrino’s request to keep her ex-boo’s divorce case private.

RhymesWithSnitch.com reports that the “Bittersweet” singer asked the judge presiding over Antwaun Cook’s divorce to seal the courtroom. The request came after her she testified about having had an abortion and the news went public.

Unfortunately for Fantasia, she won’t be getting the privacy she desires as the judge has decided not to block reporters from Antwaun’s divorce hearings. The proceedings, at least in part, may prove whether Fantasia knew Antwaun was married before she began dating him.

If it’s revealed that Fantasia knowingly hooked up with a married man, Paula Cook, Antwaun’s estranged wife, could sue her alienation of affection. North Carolina is one of several states that uphold the law, which punishes a third party for contributing to the breakdown of a marriage.
