Shaquille O’Neal took a break from the basketball court to lead a new team for one night.
The 7’1" Boston Celtics star stepped up to the podium at Boston’s Symphony Hall on Monday to take a very active part in a Bean Town tradition. Shaq had the honor of directing the Boston Pops at their annual Holiday Pops Concert.
Shaq’s set started with a lively version of "Sleigh Ride," which you can watch below. He might make it look easy, but make no mistake, directing the world-renowned orchestra is hard work! "I have a whole new respect for conductors," he told reporters at press conference before the concert. "I went through a rehearsal today, and my arms are shot right now."
Maestro Shammrock, as Shaq was dubbed for the night, also got led the Boston Pops through "We Are The Champions" and the Jackson 5′s "Can You Feel It?"
