Brenda is all grown up. Former “227” star Regina King has gone from small screen to big screen (Jerry McGuire, How Stella Got Her Groove Back) and back to the small screen.

Regina, who provides voices for the animated Riley and Huey on “The Boondocks,” also portrays detective Lydia Adams in the hard-hitting TNT cop drama “Southland.” Regina’s Lydia is a detective with heart, but she isn’t afraid to rough up the bad guys when necessary. Now, that’s a sister we can relate to.
