No. 6: Vanessa Williams
If you thought she’d be down and out after the cancellation of “Ugly Betty,” then you don’t know Vanessa Williams. Proving that she’s got talent to back up her stunning looks, Vanessa was quickly scooped up by the hit show “Desperate Housewives.”
Currently Vanessa is the only Black character on the show, and she represents us with her compassion, style, wit and attitude.
Although Vanessa didn’t take home the Emmy the three times she was nominated for her “Betty” role, she did win two Image Awards for her work, and it’s clear she isn’t done yet.
