Kanye West doesn’t mind being in front of the camera, as long as it doesn’t belong to TMZ.
TMZ.com reports that the “Heartless” rapper got into it with a couple of their cameramen at LAX last September 11, and TMZ caught the whole thing on tape.
In the video, Kanye broke the light of the photographer’s still camera. His manager, Don Crowley, spiked the camera itself like a football and then went after the video camera.
Now, Kanye’s been charged with misdemeanor battery, vandalism and grand theft. If convicted, he could be sentenced to two and a half years in jail.
Don has been charged with two counts each of battery, vandalism and grand theft. He faces up to five years in jail.
The men will be arraigned on April 14.
Yeezy was a little more cooperative when it came to “The Cleveland Show,” Fox’s “Family Guy” spin-off. MSN Music reports that he’s supplying the voice for rapper Kenny West (Ooh…that’s original). Show producers couldn’t say enough good things about him and even joked about having home a few more times.
"Once he read it a couple times through, he just owned the character, which I guess isn’t hard since he was named Kenny West,” Executive Producer Richard Appel told MSN. “He said he’d be glad to [be back.]. I said we could write him in to the next 21 episodes!"
Kanye got along really well with the cast too.
"It was surprising to us that [he] was so into it that he came to the table [read], and wonderfully surprising how cool he was, how funny he was and how unassuming he was,” said Mike Henry, who plays Cleveland. “He’s just a great presence."
