Kobe Bryant has been cut from the team.
The Los Angeles Laker was excused from jury duty, TMZ.com reports. He’d been called to an L.A. court to answer for service on a vandalism case.
When asked what he did for a living, Kobe said he plays basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers. To that, the judge simply replied, “Go Lakers!”
It’s a shame: Kobe thinks he would have been a perfect candidate for the juror’s box because he said he’s “a good listener.”
Kobe also has a pretty good relationship with law enforcement. "My team of security guards are comprised mostly of police officers [sic]," he told the judge.
Although Kobe was one of the last people to be excused, he was still in a good mood as he left the L.A. Court.
Could we skip our jury duty if we learn to dunk like him?
