TMZ reports that the late-night armed robbery of one of Akon’s employees, which resulted in a $300,00 loss of music equipment, was the label owner/Cali hitter’s handiwork.

The robbery took place at the home of Akon’s producer, Detail, according to one of the victims; feud with Suge over money was the cause.

Around 3 a.m. on March 25, Details house was broken into by five gun-toting men, who claimed to be working at Suge’s behest. They then began to collect on the debt that Detail owed Suge by taking jewelry, stereo equipment, a 130-pound safe and the keys to a Mercedes-Benz, said Christopher Walker, one of Detail’s employees who was at the house during the altercation.

Christopher claims that the robbers forced him and the other three people in the house to give up the goods, but chose not to wake Detail, who was asleep during the theft. Police estimate the total loss to be around $300,000 but Christopher put the figure at $200,000.

Christopher believes the beef started during NBA All-Star Weekend when Suge was famously clocked by two men who worked for Akon.  The All-Star incident was also over the same debt, he said.

During the attack, Chrisopher was threatened with a gun to his head and made to get on the floor, along with the other victims. Christopher’s brother and a sound engineer were among the group in the house, who were scratched, but not hurt.
