50 Cent is starring with heavy hitters Lynn Whitfield, Mario Van Peebles and Ray Liotta in Things Fall Apart.
50 plays a football player who is sidelined when he’s diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
So far, fans have been primarily responding to 50’s appearance. When he’s not sporting dreadlocks, he’s bald and emaciated. The rapper reportedly lost 50 pounds for the role.
“I understand the significance in the transformation and the weight loss process, but it’s my performance in the actual film that I hope will be impressive,” he told Billboard.com.
The trailer describes his role in the film as his “most critically acclaimed” yet.
