Pharell Williams knows that a mind is a terrible thing to waste, so he’s pitching in to make sure every student gets to class.
The producer was just one of the high-profile names on hand for the United Negro College Fund’s A Mind Is Gala on March 3rd. Linda Johnson Rice, Vernon Jordan and AJ Calloway also came through to party for a good cause.
By the end of the UNCF $raised 2.8 million. That total includes $1 million for the organizations Campaign Emergency Student Aid, which helps college seniors affected by the recession.
