Akon pleaded guilty to harassment after throwing a 15-year old fan off the stage during a June 2007 concert, MTVNews.com reports.
Now, as part of a plea deal, Akon has to pay a $350 fine and log 65 hours of community service by June. He’ll have to spend that time speaking out against violence and gang life.
Akon wouldn’t speak to MTVNews.com about the case, but his attorney did release a statement, saying, "We are pleased that the case has been resolved, and Akon looks forward to putting this unfortunate incident behind him."
