DeShawn Snow learned Monday that she was not being brought back for the second season of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
DeShawn said she was a little hurt by the decision, but that it really came more as a surprise. “I didn’t see it coming. I was shocked because I just talked to them in December about the new season,” she told Essence.com.
There’s been buzz that Tameka Foster would be replacing her, but DeShawn doesn’t see it that. “I wouldn’t say that they are replacing me because they didn’t think I was real enough or too real enough for the show, “ she said. “So I doubt they are going to bring in someone who has a similar personality as mine.”
Although Bravo did approach Tameka about becoming part of the cast, she turned them down. ”I will not be joining the ‘Real Housewives’ cast," she told Essence.com. However, she admits that it was a flattering offer.
Don’t feel bad for DeShawn though, she’s got lots of other stuff on her plate. Essence.com reports that she’ll be working on a series of books for teens and pre-teens, which are inspired by her life. And as always, she’ll be very busy working with adolescent girls through her foundation.
