Lil Wayne and Floyd Mayweather are more than a little behind on their taxes, and it’s time to pay Uncle Sam.
The Detroit News reports that “6 foot 7 foot” rapper owes the government $5.6 million in back taxes from 2008-2009. As a result, the Miami-Dade county clerk filed a lien against him on March 28.
This is the second tax action that Weezy has had to deal with in less than six months. He paid the IRS $1.1 million in overdue taxes back in December when his Miami home was hit with a lien from the federal government.
Meanwhile, according RadarOnline.com, Floyd has been hit with another lien of his own, stating that he owes $3.4 million in taxes from 2009. The flashy boxer also ran into trouble with the government in 2008, when it was discovered that he owed $6.1 million in unpaid taxes. Fortunately for Floyd he was able to set up a payment plan with the IRS.
