The first family has welcomed a new member to the White House.
Bo, a 6-month old Portuguese water dog, arrived home on Saturday to a warm reception by Barack, Michelle and the girls.
According to TMZ.com, Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy gave Bo to the Obamas via a kennel in Texas. They say the dog actually belonged to another family who returned him, so he’s being "re-homed." How’s that for an upgrade?!
The allergen-free, black-haired doggy is also from the same lineage as the Kennedys’ own dogs.
Malia and Sasha put a lot of thought into naming the presidential pup, too. E! Online reports that they dubbed him Bo after Michelle’s father (his nickname was Diddley), and their cousins have a cat named Bo.
Even though pictures of the dog have been plastered all over the web this weekend, the White House will officially unveil him on Tuesday.
