Jen pulls the race card
Sooo…Raqi and Jen’s Hot97 audition was a spectacular failure.
Raqi thought she was doing Jen a favor by trying to include her on the pilot episode of her online radio show for Hot97.com. Jen, however, was not pleased with the fact that she did not get as much mic time as she would have liked.
While Jen envisioned being more of a co-host with equal talk time, Raqi expected her to be more of a sidekick that would speak when spoken to. When comparing their resumes and they amount of work they’ve put in, each woman argued that she should have top billing. The
One thing led to another, and the girls got loud as many arguments on "LHH" tend to escalate pretty quickly. But Jen dropped a major bomb by implying that she would have an easier time getting a job in radio because of her race.
"I’m White, honey. It will get done," Jen shouted at Raqi. "Call me what you want, but I’m going to get on. And I’m going to get on with my Whiteness."
