Don’t let Wish’s small frame, platinum blond tresses and sweet smile fool you. This girl has a powerhouse voice that’s going to kick the industry’s, ahem, behind. “I’m edgy and brash,” the Jive Records songstress purred.
Although a major label didn’t back her debut mixtape (a diary of songs inspired by her life as a young adult), she still sold thousands of copies. And now, with an untitled sophomore album underway, Wish aims to triple her success.
“This new project, the music is about love. It’s about hate. It’s about how you feel. It’s about female empowerment and being comfortable in the skin that you’re in,” she said.
