“I have a strong marriage,” Phaedra confidently told In Touch magazine.
On previews for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion show, which continues Sunday night, Kenya suggests that Apollo sent her text messages even after Kenya’s friendship with Phaedra twirled to a dramatic end.
Phaedra didn’t deny that Apollo reached out to Kenya. However, she clarified that Apollo’s initial texts were about business, and then Kenya apparently decided to change the subject.
“She propositioned him with a sexual act,” said Phaedra who defended Apollo’s decision to reach out to Kenya in the first place. “My husband just asked her for advice on an acting coach. Kenya continued to text him.”
Phaedra didn’t mention whether Apollo also asked NeNe Leakes, who stars on “Glee” and “The New Normal,” about an acting coach.
Fans of “RHOA” likely recall Kenya and Apollo frolicking together at the pool of the resort where the cast stayed during the Anguilla trip. Kenya was criticized for her flirtatious behavior toward Apollo then, but she asserted that she’d never pursue a married man.
“Let me be the first to say, I’m not interested in anybody’s husband, not Phaedra’s or anybody else’s. You can put that on the record,” Kenya said on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” in November.
Since then, Phaedra’s had little screen time with Apollo or Phaedra whose DVD idea she was accused of stealing. From many viewers’ perspectives, there’s little reason for Kenya and Apollo to be keeping in touch.
Though viewers might be surprised by Kenya’s and Apollo’s accusations, Phaedra seemed unfazed by the he said/she said drama assured that in her marriage, “there are no secrets.”
