According to President Barack Obama’s tax return, 2010 was a very good year for him and his family.
The White House announced that the first couple filed jointly and they pulled in an adjusted gross income of $1,728,096. Not too shabby for the leader of the free world and the most fabulous first lady ever!
Barack and Michelle paid $453,770 in federal taxes and $51,568 to Illinois in state taxes. But it seems that Obamas were also very generous with all of their earnings. Their return shows that the pair gave away $245,075 in donations to 36 different charities. That total includes their biggest gift, which was a $131,075 donation to the Fisher House Foundation.
