Fantasia’s doing it big in New York City this week as she promotes her new album Side Effects of You!
Today, Fannie hit up “Good Morning America” to grace the show with her voice as she did a quick performance of her new track “Get It Right.”
It was an early morning for Fantasia considering the fact that she partied hard last night and into the wee hours of the morning as she celebrated the release of Side Effects of You.
The “Lose To Win” siren gathered with her famous friends and supporters like Missy Elliott, Kenny Lattimore and S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown at XL Nightclub on Tuesday night. “Love & Hip Hop” creator Mona Scott-Young and Joe were also on hand for the festivities, where Fantasia explained that her album is not about Antwuan Cook as many have speculated.
“Side Effects of You is not about a man. Trust me,” Fantasia told fans gathered at her album release party, acknowledging that Antwaun is only a small part of the story. “Side Effects of You is about the [music] industry, family, friends, folk who say they love you and they turn around and they all go. I’m grateful to say, you don’t cry over spilled milk.”
With that, Fantasia launched into a fantastic impromptu live performance of “Lose To Win,” bringing the same passion to the stage that fans have come to expect since the moment she blew the competition away on “American Idol” a decade ago.
This is just the first promotional stop of many for Fantasia, who will also be hitting up “Big Morning Buzz,” CNN, “The View” and “Watch What Happens Live” this week.
