Beyoncé was met with a chorus of “boos” from members of the media on the red carpet at Monday night’s MET Costume Institute Gala.
A woman suffering for fashion isn’t anything new. From foot-cramping heels to lobe-deforming earrings, ladies often choose beauty and style over comfort, and Beyoncé is clearly no exception.
However, the crowd was not feeling compassionate at all when the “Single Ladies” singer had trouble walking the carpet and making herself available for press and photographers.
With Jay-Z at her side, Bey attempted to walk the length of the carpet, but the dress was a bit too restricting for her.
Instead, the usually friendly star quickly made her way inside for the event.
Sometimes fashion isn’t worth it, but it’s unlikely that a tight-fitting outfit, normally Bey’s claim to fame, will tarnish her otherwise stellar rep.
