Although Whitney Houston has (voluntarily) re-entered rehab, she may be returning to the silver screen to reprise her role as Savannah in Getting to Happy.
While promoting Jumping the Broom on The Talk, Angela Bassett said that the original leading ladies are in the preliminary stages of a sequel to the 1995 film based on the Terry McMillan novel, Waiting To Exhale.
“It’s going to happen, Waiting to Exhale 2. McMillan wrote Getting to Happy and she’s written the screenplay," Angela said. "Forest is working on the script now."
Yes, that’s right. Forest Whittaker, Terry and the original cast, including Whitney? If this really is “going to happen,” we’re in for an unforgettable reunion.
