Gabrielle Union has signed on to star in film version of Steve Harvey’s Think Like a Man.
“Excited abt being cast in Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man," Gabrielle tweeted today. She also promised “more cast surprises 2 come.”
Gabrielle joins Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy and Taraji P. Henson, whose names are quickly turning the flick into a Tyler Perry-style smorgasbord of Black Hollywood talent.
The movie is based on Steve’s best-selling relationship book titled, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. For the big-screen production, the first part of the title has been removed.
As S2S reported, the book has been adapted to focus on a romantic relationship between Taraji’s and Michael’s characters. Kevin Hart will play the mediator role and dole out advice to the couple, as his own marriage hangs by a thin thread.
There’s no word yet on what character Gabrielle will be taking on.
Romany Malco, most recently known for his role on “No Ordinary Family,” Jerry Ferrara and comedian Gary Owen have also been added to the film’s roster.
In January, Steve told Sister 2 Sister, “I’ve read the script. It’s gonna be pretty good. I think that movie gon’ make a lot of money.”
Production is set to begin this summer.
