Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has filed two motions to get access to the Los Angeles Police Department’s internal records.
A source has confirmed that the motions Mark filed Wednesday request police access to internal records about the leaked photo of Rihanna’s injuries, the New York Daily News reports.
This is the formal move for Mark’s intention to find out who is responsible for slipping the photo to TMZ.com. An LAPD spokesperson said an internal investigation into the matter is still open. "I’ve not received any updates that the case has been resolved," they told the Daily News.
Sources said that the photo leak could be criminal, which might effect plea negotiations in Chris’ case.
Mark and prosecutors are due back in court on May 28. Both sides are preparing evidence for a prospective evidence hearing.
