Phaedra Parks offered more detail into the text message exchange between hubby Apollo Nida and co-star Kenya Moore.
Although it seemed Kenya’s declaration about Apollo reaching out to her was a surprise, Phaedra said Apollo had already let her know what Kenya was up to.
“He called me immediately. It was frightening to him. Frankly, it was shocking to both of us that she would even make such a proposition,” Phaedra recently told E!
During the season 5 “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion show, Apollo claimed that Kenya has offered to do to him what his wife wouldn’t do. However, Kenya has recently denied the accusations. She clarified to Phaedra that Apollo initiated all their correspondences, which were platonic.
“I don’t want your man. Let’s make that perfectly clear,” Kenya told Phaedra.
Phaedra’s “RHOA” BFF Kandi Burruss believes she’s seen most of the text messages and agreed that they were not inappropriate, but Phaedra seemingly knows different.
Phaedra explained that she opted not to air all Kenya’s dirty laundry during the reunion show because she was with child and focused on protecting her baby.
“I always make sure to stay as tranquil as possible because whatever goes into my spirit goes into my baby’s spirit as well,” she said. “I didn’t address it then because it wasn’t appropriate for me or my health or my sanity or my baby. I definitely said I’d address it at the appropriate time and we touched on it at the reunion show, but obviously now, several months later, we’re addressing it again.”
When Kenya first joined the hit Bravo reality show last season, she and Phaedra started off as fast friends. However, things ended between them before they really began.
Though they’ve had their issues, including drama surrounding two competing workout DVDs, Phaedra said she’s going to try to tolerate Kenya.
“I hope to be cordial with Kenya. Look, I’m mature enough to be in a room with anyone, and at the end of the day, because of the show, we will obviously have to be around each other. So, I would like things to be cordial. Now, I’m not saying we’re going to be best friends. I don’t see that happening. Ever,” she said.
