Early 2004: JaRule was arrested for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license. He pleaded guilty, paid a $550 fine, and the marijuana possession charges were dropped.
Mid-to-Late 2004: JaRule was charged for a brutal attack at a nightclub in Toronto, Canada. He was released on $7,500 bail. In December, Ja was investigated for a shooting that happened outside The Inc.’s (previously name Murder, Inc.) Christmas party. He faced a “conspiracy to commit murder” charge, but the charge was later dropped. He released his sixth album, R.U.L.E., in November.
