Toya Carter and MeMpHiTz are now husband and wife after an elegant, if damp, wedding in Atlanta this weekend.
Toya and MeMpHiTz jumped the broom before family and friends during an outdoor wedding at the Atlanta National Golf Club on Saturday evening.
S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown was onhand for the nuptials and said the ceremony got started a little late because of rain. But when Mother Nature let up, the bride wept as she made her way down the aisle to her groom, who was shedding a few tears of his own.
Instead of doing anything too over-the-top, the happy couple stuck with the traditional vows for the wedding. Tameka "Tiny" Cottle served as one of Toya’s matrons of honor.
Singer Monica was there for the ceremony, and we’re told she was rocking a form-fitting dress for the affair. Nivea and Lauren London were also among the invited guests. Nivea, Toya and Lauren all have children with Louisiana rapper Lil Wayne, who did not attend the wedding, although he was invited.
Lil Wayne did offer his congratulations on Toya’s new union, tweeting, "Hats off to Toya and Memphis (sic), best wishes."
Kandi Burruss tweeted the pic below from the reception, and Lloyd performed "Cupid" for the newlyweds.
