Sherri Shepherd isn’t just dropping the pounds to be a tiny bride, she’s going for a new baby, too.
Sherri is getting in shape so that she can start a family with her hubby-to-be Lamar Sally after they get married in August. "I have to lose as much weight as possible for me to be healthy to carry [a baby],"she told People magazine.
"The View" co-host went through a similar experience while trying to conceive her son Jeffrey. Sherri even wrote about her problems with fertility and the fact that she miscarried Jeffery’s twin in her memoir, Permission Slips.
Sherri’s so serious about reaching her fitness goal that she gets in a workout most days before heading over to the set of "The View." "I go at 7 in the morning, four times a week to see my trainer over at the Reebok Club," she revealed. "She’s doing a lot of interval training with me and these things called suicides. Those are really tough."
And the chat host is keeping her bridal party in shape and in step for her big day as well. It’s likely something her bridesmaids, Niecy Nash, Kym Whitley, Yvette Nicole Brown and Elisabeth Hasselbeck both love and hate her for.
"We just got back from L.A. rehearsing a choreographed dance for eight hours," Sherri said. "Everybody threw out their back. They were tired and bruised!"
